With the category of Research Videos, PERVASIVE 2006 seeks research contributions, future visions, project descriptions, and concepts of pervasive computing technologies, systems and applications. The conference particularly values practical experience with design, deployment and use of pervasive systems and applications, and investigation of exciting and inspiring ideas and technologies.

Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:
• Design, implementation and evaluation of pervasive systems and applications
• Device, communication, and interaction technologies for pervasive computing
• Pervasive sensing and perception, and location and context technologies
• Software infrastructure for pervasive computing systems and environments
• Pervasive computing user interfaces and user experience
• Privacy, security and trust in pervasive computing
• Visions and explorations of future pervasive computing scenarios

Each research video will be accompanied by a short paper describing the contribution and as an anchor point for future reference. Submissions must be in Adobe PDF format, conform to the Springer-Verlag LNCS style and up to 4 pages. Following submission of your short paper you will receive instructions regarding the submission of your video. Once logged in select the Pervasive 2006 conference (short papers) to submit your paper. For accepted contributions, the short video paper will be published in the adjunct proceedings of PERVASIVE 2006 which will be available in printed form as well as electronically on the conference web-site. Accepted videos need to be submited as camera ready video in mpeg (MPEG1/2) or AVI (MPEG-4) as NTSC. (videos submitted for consideration to the video track can be in NTSC or PAL).

The video will be shown in a special video session at PERVASIVE 2006, in addition we plan for the videos to be shown during the welcome reception for the Gala Dinner at the very atmospheric Guinness hopstore. This year, we plan to have video proceedings on DVD. If authors have any queries regarding potential submissions, including copyright, please contact one of the co-chairs.
